Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane believes Marcus Rashford is back to his best as his superb run of goal-scoring form continued in England’s 4-0 win over Kosovo.

The 22-year-old scored as England beat Kosovo 4-0, with the strike taking his tally to nine from his last ten matches for both club and country, and the former United great believes he is back to his best.

Rashford, who started on the bench, came on in the 59th minute and scored shortly after for the third match in a row.

The former Red Devils captain Keane was full of praise for the forward after his cool finish in Pristina for the Three Lions.

“Brilliant, brilliant goal,” praised Keane on ITV. “What a finish. He is back to his best. It was a lovely play, nice and simple. Does it matter about the opposition? Of course, it does, because they’re getting opportunities, but that was the goal of the night. A lovely finish. Pure quality.”

Keane also indicated he was impressed by the Three Lions’ forward line, suggesting they could be a good pick for Gareth Southgate during the upcoming Euro 2020 finals.

“The attacking three players you’d have at the minute are [Raheem] Sterling, [Harry] Kane and Rashford. The three of them are outstanding players who cause you all sorts of headaches.”

England qualified for the finals with a match to spare, following their 7-0 demolition of Montenegro on Thursday night. They will now shift their focus to the Premier League action which is set to resume this weekend.

There is serious competition for places in the England attack, with Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling seemingly guaranteed starters, but the third of the three places up front up for grabs.
