Josep Maria Orobitg, agent of Pep Guardiola, has dismissed any reports regarding the Manchester City boss could return to Bayern Munich as Niko Kovac’s successor.
Bayern are looking for a new permanent manager after sacking Niko Kovac following a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on November 2.
Hansi Flick has been placed in temporary charge for the rest of the calendar year and Guardiola was one of many names linked with the vacancy – yet Orobitg confirmed no one from the German giants has been in touch.
Orobitg has said Guardiola isn’t looking to move on. He said, “In football, nothing is certain,” he said.
“I spoke with Pep last Wednesday, and everything is the same: He feels good at Manchester City and also in the city of Manchester, and he has a contract until June 30, 2021. Nobody but the press contacted me about the future Pep.”

Herbert Hainer, who was recently appointed as President of Bayern, revealed that he is open to see Pep Guardiola take charge of the Allianz Arena once again. Hainer expressed his approval for the Spaniard in a talk with ESPN.
The 65-year old also praised the City boss for his management skills. “The board of directors will try to get the best coach for Bayern Munich,” Hainer said.
“When I say the best, it means, on one hand, a coach who we want to have. And, on the other, one who is available.”
Herbert Hainer revealed that the club has resolved to assess Flick’s performance and will keep him till the end of the season.
“[Sporting director] Hasan [Salihamidzic] and I decided that he will sit on the bench until Christmas at least or even beyond that.”
Guardiola was manager at Bayern Munich for three years between 2013 and 2016, where he won three consecutive Bundesliga titles and two German cups.
The Spanish coach has added seven trophies to his impressive silverware collection while in Manchester, including two Premier League titles and the FA Cup.
